30 Oct 2010: Happy Halloween Weekend!

It's typhoon day in Japan today. Unlike in Hong Kong, people seem to be unaffected by it, probably coz Tokyo is pretty distant from the coast, and is quite inland...

And waken up by the rain splashing at the windows, I started off the day with some housework. Yes, you got it right, HOUSEWORK! To cheer up myself a bit, I unpack the cookware in the kitchen cabinet...nice...
From left: Soup pot, wok, saucepan!
Followed by some floor/toilet/bath cleaning...don't wanna go into too much details on that here.
Then off I go for lunch in Shibuya! This ~

Where: JR Shibuya Station - Hachiku exit, turn right and it's in the middle below the JR bridge.
What: Black Sesame Ramen
How much: 820Yen
Osusume Rating: 7/10

Finally, going to a bit further, well just 15mins from Shibuya by Keio line....
下北沢, Shimokitazawa

And despite the rain and typhoon, welcomed by a Halloween parade in the local streets:

Finally finishing a lovely dinner in a very comfi resty, with cute cartoon music all through...

Cheese Mushroom Risotto!
Lemon Black Vinegar Cider

Home-made Tofu

The last but not the least, thanks Cora's long-time friend - Tug
~ Who bring us around the area and we did have great fun!!! Nice to meet you Tug! Drinks for sure next time!

23 Oct 2010: Moving Home

Finally, after whole month of running around, I'm moving to my "perm" apartment today.
It's one month and I already got doubled luggages...see it yourself here:

Only the biggest and the smallest hard cases are original ones coming with me, else are stuff my sister brought me 2 weeks ago, and some I bought over the month. haha.

So before I leave this 1-month home, somehow feeling a bit unease, so let's take some more shots with each corner again...yes tho you may found these familiar as appeared in previous posts...

And, a new start, start to fill up my new place ne. ;)

22 Oct 2010: Enrich Life with Joy!

I finished the last breakfast (free for tenants) in Ark Towers Lounge today with vegetable juice, salad, waffles and Earl Grey tea. And tomorrow, I will be moving into my rented apartment!

As I walked out of the building and look around, I saw the leaves starting to get yellow and some falling off from the trees...It's getting cooler today too, around 19 degrees, and I said to myself "Ar, autumn is coming!"
Suddenly I realized it's nearly one month I've been in Tokyo on my own. Well, physically at least, coz' everyday I worked and every night I chatted with mum/sister on Skype. And every other day some friends will call or mail me for catching up.

"Should have enjoyed more on the area." I thought. Take my time, and see things around...Should be thrilled with excitements. Yet so far I'm so stressed out by new job, new workplace, getting ID cards, filling in forms, apartment hunting, furniture hunting, daily necessities hunting, etc.

Going forward, for the new rental place, I shall take it easy and slowly, enjoy more of the setting up instead...well, at least one thing I am urging to buy this weekend first is....the TV! hahaha

Anyways, life is filled with joy when you enjoy it - Enjoy means: ENrich your life with JOY!

20 Oct 2010: First Dinner In Tokyo - I cooked!

So, I said "Let's wait til I got my cookwares in the new apartment."
So, I said "I don't wanna buy any spices yet."
So, I said "Too late and too lazy to cook ne."

Finally, tonight, I feel like "Why not cook the simpliest meal of all? Noodles!"
My sister brought these chinese style noodle pack to me 2 weeks ago.

And they even come with the abalone sauce! Irresistable!

Very simple to cook ~
1. Boil some hot water in the kettle (faster) ;)
2. Pour water into the saucepan, put in the noodles, shake them with chopsticks to loosen the noodle cake.
3. Empty the sauce into the plate, so when the noodles are placed on top, sauce is warmed.
4. After 5mins, pour away the water and just put the noodles into a flat plate, mix with the sauce.
~ And all done!

To add a bit of spice to my dinner, I've got some wasabi octopus from the FamilyMart (yes, only in FamilyMart not in 7-11 nor others...)

Da-da!

Well, another good thing is, the apartment cleaning lady will come to wash the dishs tmr, hohohoo~

16 Oct 2010: Good stuff

Just got a back spray from Metholatum (2nd from left) ~ it's for back spots/acne, trying it out already, good when my hands won't reach to my full back, haha.

Then, there's the eye makeup remover (2nd from right), which is same brand selling in HKG.

Finally some cheap but very popular eyeliner (the 1 day tatoo on the left - Brand: K-Palette), and eyebrows pencil (on the right - Brand: Kate)...hope they are as good.  :D

oh, nearly forgot, I've finally got a map book, this one is good, with all metro exit info. AND, most importantly, their first and last trains, even left/right doors at each station, all in one! And yes, those who know me, I can't read maps and directionless...But I'm working hard on recognising roads, and start reading maps for real!

14-15 Oct 2010: How'bout more nice food ?

Last night I went to Iidabashi to take some pictures for my new apartment and measure every corner for buying furniture...

Dinner at the neighbourhood...
hmmm, surely not all are mine, I'm eating with my friend's visiting parents, hahaha. The udon is super yummy and chewy, my like!

And today, going to Ginza for shopping, then Akihabara, then Ueno, then Shinbashi.
Lunch at Ginza 鮨乃家 ~ Metro Station: Ginza Ichome Exit 4, go into the small street beside a red cavas cafe, this is right at top of AMPM convinient store.

Dinner at Akihabara:

they gave us a hot plate and we cook the beef ourselves...
