29 Sep 2010: Keep rolling...

Today I can focus at work as I don't need to run for errands away from office. Finally, went to lots of meetings with different people.

I start feeling like working now, a bit tired, but very challenging.

After work, my feet hurts, so...I went to steam and zaccuzi in Ark Towers, where I resided.

Very relaxing way to finish a hard day of work and feel so lovely in body and mind..

So how's work for you today?

Treat yourself a spa/sauna/massage!

28 Sep 2010: First Days at Work

So, the first two days are all about, new faces, new names, new floors, new rooms, new building!
For personal stuff, I need to run around for errands (getting ID cards, bank accounts etc). Honestly I am quite tired, but feeling excited. Got lost in directions, but still manageable.

It'll get better ^v^

It's raining and getting a bit cool in here, geez, I nearly fell sick. But am fine after some herbal tea and rest, Phew.

Here is my office from outside...

And, Softbank Mobile Company in Roppongi, yes, I am shopping for mobile phone tonight since it's not raining outside, yahoo!

Finally, after several days of rice balls and udon, I treated myself a lovely sushi dinner in Tsukiji-sushiko (in Roppongi, corner opposite to Softbank shop)

Stay tuned...

My Goodbye Mail - For those who didn't receive it at work

"Well, the time has come to say goodbye to everyone that has made me smile here over the last four years.

A company is more than just a workplace, it is the people that give it soul. I would just like to say that there have been many great people here, both past and present, that have made the job truly enjoyable. As with any special place it is the people who make it and it will be those I will miss the most. Even though we are moving to new horizons in different directions, we will always have our memories of this place.
Special thanks to all of who walked me through brainstorms, chats, screenshots, user guides, ppts, project schedules, plans, UATs etc..You are the best!
Apologies to all who waken up by my mid-night mails streamed through their blackberries.

I am not sure what the future will bring but I am sure that it will involve many cups of tea. Hope that everyone achieves what will make them happy.

Good luck in the future. I am sure reunions and catch-ups will, if not often, be full of laughs and good times, so if anyone feels the urge to contact me, here are my details:
Email: adel224@gmail.com
And of course: Facebook
Goodbye, good luck and you never know, see you sooner or later!
Yours,
Adeline "

The Last Working Day - In Hong Kong

So finally, the time to say goodbye to my workplace after 4 years of stay.
The feeling it so hard to using words to display.
Looking forward to a new challenge ahead,
My eyes suddenly turning wet at the end of the day.

Reading replies from my colleagues on my Goodbye email,
My brain is flooded by flashbacks of these days,
Is it harder to depart, or is it easier to stay?
I keep asking myself on that these days.

Well then the decision is made,
Let's make it another fruitful and happy day.

Thanks to all who take time to say goodbye to me,
I really appreciate all the friendly faces.

Memories for keep, the pleasure is mine...

Background - The Start

The story starts few months ago. When I received a phone call, from an agent in Tokyo.
"Are you looking for new opportunities?" He said.
"Well, yes, am open to new challenges. What kind of role is that?" I said.
"How'bout Tokyo? Are you OK to relocate?" He said.
I replied, "OH, (Still trying to stay calm), may I know which bank?"
"It's XXX" he went on..."Your profile fits their requirements, blahblahblah..."

5 minutes later...I said "Just send me the JD!"

2 months later..."Tokyo! I am coming! Pls be ready!"

So everything unusual usually starts off with a usual conversation... :-D
